Fall Harvest: Preparing for Seasonal Change

August 19 - August 23

As summer winds down, we will begin to transition into Autumn! The kids will learn all about fall: what we grow, activities we have at the farm, and more! This session includes fall-themed crafts, games, and activities.

Schedule:

9-9:30 am: Morning Drop Off/Coloring/Daily Announcements
9:30-10:15 am: Farm Chores: feed/water the animals, water garden, harvest produce
10:15-11:45 am: Hands-on Education Time: craft, activity, or demonstration that has to do with that weeks theme
11:45-12:15pm: Lunch
12:15-1:00pm: Supervised Outdoor Play/Water play/Afternoon pick up


Parents must provide children with lunch and/or snack, and water as we will not provide food. We suggest providing your child with all that they may need while they're on the farm, this may include, but not limited to: sunscreen, hat, bug spray, closed toed shoes, athletic attire, bathing suit, towel, water bottle, etc.

We Only Have One Earth: Becoming Environmental Warriors

August 12 - August 16

This week we will discuss climate change and the effect it has on our natural habitats, while discovering ways to make a positive impact on the environment and world around us. How we use methods like upcycling, conserving water, energy, and food waste on the farm. Repurposing materials for crafts and projects, we’ll learn that we can make a difference, no matter how small.

Ecosystems: Living in our Community

August 5 - August 9

This week we will be learning how everything plays a role in its community. We will be piecing it all together, the birds, bugs, plants, and animals; how everything exists in symbiotic relationships. We'll learn about food chains and the positive role we can have on the ecosystems around us.

Animal Week: Meet the Friends of the Farm

July 29 - August 2

Goats, Pigs, Chickens, and a Donkey, oh my! We will be learning all about farm animals this week: what they eat, where they live, and their role on the farm. Curriculum also includes learning about the life cycles of chickens, milking goats, and hands-on touch and play with our furry friends.

Produce Week: The Fruits and Vegetables we Grow and Eat

July 22 - July 26

Learn about all the food we locally grow and sell. From planting seedlings in our greenhouse to transferring sprouts to our fields, we'll finish the week stocking the produce bins at our farm stand. The kids will get an all-encompassing view of what goes into growing the food that ends up on our tables!

Soil, Compost, & Dirt: How to Grow a Healthy Garden

July 1 - July 5

This week we will start from the ground up, literally! It’s Soil Week. Over the week, the kids will have all their questions about soil answered. What is it? What is it made out of? What makes soil healthy? All these and more, while learning organic growing methods such as the importance of composting, soil turn over and using nature to help, not hurt your harvest.

Worms, Bees and Butterflies!

July 8 - July 12

Learn about all the bugs that help out on the farm! Each bug has its role to play. The worms aerate and fertilize the soil, the ladybugs protect the plants, and the bees pollinate the flowers. We will learn about the life cycles of butterflies, how to invite the “good” bugs in to help the flowers grow, the process of bees making honey, and more!

From Seed to Sprout: Life Cycles of Flowers

July 15 - July 19

Flowers are beautiful, but where do they start? This week we are going to learn all about the life cycle of a flower. We will learn what a seed needs to grow, the variation of flowers, how to grow a garden, what tools to use, and more! Campers will be able to take their sprouts home with them at the end of the week.
