Soil, Compost, & Dirt: How to Grow a Healthy Garden

This week we will start from the ground up, literally! It’s Soil Week. Over the week, the kids will have all their questions about soil answered. What is it? What is it made out of? What makes soil healthy? All these and more, while learning organic growing methods such as the importance of composting, soil turn over and using nature to help, not hurt your harvest.
9-9:15 am: Morning Drop Off/Coloring
9:15-9:30 am: Morning Announcements
9:30-9:45 am: Meditation/Morning stretch
9:45-10:15 Farm Chores: feed/water the animals, water garden, harvest produce
10:15-10:30 am: Story Time/Snack
10:30-12:00pm: Hands-on Education Time: craft, activity, or demonstration that has to do with that weeks theme
12:30-1:00pm: Supervised Outdoor Play/Afternoon pick up
Parents must provide children with lunch and/or snack, and water as we will not provide food. We suggest providing your child with all that they may need while they're on the farm, this may include, but not limited to: sunscreen, hat, bug spray, closed toed shoes, athletic attire, bathing suit, towel, water bottle, etc.
Parents of campers get 15% off of all items located in our farm stand, including the books that are read during that week's session.
